Here amenities are limited to sun loungers and parasols, although the fantastic snorkelling opportunities more than make up for it. If you’re lucky you may encounter sea turtles and tropical fish, which are both common in the warm Caribbean Sea.

Some turtles even lay their eggs here at certain times of the year! However, these areas are usually sectioned off to keep the hatchlings safe as most turtle species in this region are endangered.

Grand Palladium Kantenah Resort
The lack of activities here means this beach is usually quiet, meaning you’ll always be able to find your perfect spot, even during the peak seasons.

Resorts that are in this area are: El Dorado Resort & Spa with the Palladium a little further to the South.

Have been vacationing in this area since 2004…at The Grand Palladium… It has been quiet and love the fact the reef is thriving. The Palladium has a wondeful program for preservation of the sea turtles…which extends north toward the El Dorado. Unfortunately there is new development on this once quiet secluded beach. With the new Hard Rock Hotel nearing end of it’s construction , I fear the peace and quiet and the nature that abounds in this area …are going to suffer from over developement and hope it does not interfer with the major sea turtle nesting area. The Yucatan Peninsula must preserve the reefs and turtle nesting areas that have been here for millenium…. This is the jewel that should not be lost…
