Boys Trip To Chichen Itza And Cenotes!

I’ve spent the last 11 years living in Playa del Carmen Mexico and thought this would be the perfect the opportunity to go and visit Chichen Itza for the first time! The three of us were picked up in a new Suburban right on time and met the driver, Manual, who could not have been any nicer! And since we do not speak great Spanish, his excellent English was terrific!Manual provided us with great insight into the culture and the people all throughout the 10-hour tour through the Yucatan. Manual in fact was so great, that we requested he pick us up the following day and take us to the airport for our departure flight.Chitzen Itza is incredible! No wonder it is considered now the 7th Wonder of the World. However, not to be outdone I actually enjoyed the rest of the day even more! After Chitzen Itza we proceeded to the Cenote il Kil which was just incredible. We enjoyed some diving and swimming and then had a great lunch at the local restaurant on site. Then off to Ek Balam which was equally as incredible. The grounds of the ruins are much smaller than Chichen Itza, however stunningly beautiful. Here you can climb on the ruins and offers great opportunities for photos. Not to mention, that there were probably no more than 20 other people on site; felt as if we had this incredible piece of history all to ourselves. Before returning to our condo in Playa del Carmen, Manual drove us through the historic city of Valladolid and then his personal recommendation of the cenote ********** which was absolutely stunning. Another great swimming cenote! Be sure to bring your Camera, because you will never see anything like this again.Overall, it’s an absolute must trip! I’ve been living in the area for over 11 years and by far the best historical, cultural and fun day I have ever had. Thanks to Manuel from Travel Yucatan transportation services for making it so special.
