El Manglar Golf Course
A Joint venture between the Great Jack Nicklaus’s company “Nicklaus Design” and the Mexican golf course development company “Vidanta” it was the first golf course in the world to receive the Green Globe distinction for its policies on sustainable tourism.
With its numerous bright white sand traps, the lush green jungle vegetation, lakes along twelve holes and wonderful wildlife the walk from tee to green is a pleasure.
The signature hole 17th “Donna Green” is unique, well I have never seen anything like it. Bunkers on both sides and one bang in the middle of the green.
With predominant trade winds this course demands accuracy and will challenge even the most experienced of players.
I’m not a big fan of par 3 courses as I always come off wanting to play another round, but this course is different and I didn’t feel short changed. A thoroughly enjoyable course that will test most aspects of your game, big time!
