Our traditional Centennial Zoo Park offers attractions to have fun with the whole family and learn a lot about the animals.
Admission is completely free and open to the public from Tuesday to Sunday.
Closed on Mondays for maintenance and rest of the animals.
This park’s main attraction is the zoo, with more than 1,000 animals among 120 different species of mammals, birds and reptiles. Included are giraffes, lions, flamingos, monkeys, tigers, and other species, some endangered.
You can find many variety of plants among the many entertainment areas, as well as the centennial tree which was planted when the zoo opened its doors in 1910. There is also a man-made lake inside which is a wonderful place to enjoy the row boats. There is also has an aquarium and a reptile room.
Inaugurated on September 18, 1910 to celebrate the first centennial of the Independence of Mexico, the Parque Zoologico Centenario was decreed as a protected natural area on January 31, 1963 by the state council.
The Park is divided into two main areas:
Recreational area , where you can have fun with the following services:
– Cable car
– Fountain of jets
Schedule of the recreational area from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Animal Area, where you can learn with:
– Giraffe viewpoint
Animals area schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
